NEMONT IS PLANNING AREA TV Nemont Tel--which for several decades has provided a five county area with efficient rural telephone service, some time ago got into cable tv with a plan which would provide rural areas with a kind of service hitherto unavailable. The plans now are maturing, and would provide most of northeastern Montana with that service. The technicalities now are being worked out, but the essence is that all rural areas will be within reach of these services at reasonable rates. Hitherto cable tv has been most practical in areas of concentrated populations. But some new technologies have changed the picture. By 1984, according to Nemont, cable tv facilities will be available at reasonable rates to virtually all rural areas in northeastern Montana. Nemont for more than twenty years has proven that in regard to telephone services--urban or rural--it has established levels of efficiency unequalled by any other telephone services, either private or cooperative in Montana. Current plans also indicate that part of Nemom's cable tv system will be sent out from KCGM's 400-ft. tower, about iVt miles east of Scobey. WE HAVE A WHOLE NEW VEAR TO WORK ON, LET'S MAKE IT PRODUCTIVE. ASCS ELECTION RETURNS Results of the December 6th election of county ASC committee persons for 1983 were announced today by Rodney M.
