John Oliver, Joseph Boyd, Jose Flgueron, Ouane Crisp, Jeff Gongwer, Shawn Loegering, Bill Prichard, Geoff Hagadone; 2nd Row: Deron Reddog, Willie Ricker, Terrance Gourneau, Greg Shanks, Will McClammy, Aaron Hecht, Coach Han*; 3rd Row: Samson Boyd, Ben Thompson, Dale Tour Bear, Chaskay Ricker, Tim Paulson, Kevin Luse, Coach Buyarski; 4th Row: Cornell Four Bear, Fats Browning, Robert Boulds, Felix McGowan, Wilbur Reid, Dan O'Brien, Dean Osgood, Head Coach Gebert The Poplar "Indians'1 have been practicing since August 19 and have had several days of 3-a-day practices. They have been working hard learning both a new offense and defense which have been brought in this year by first year Coach, Gary Gebert. 36 players have been issued uniforms and are looking forward to their first game, September 7 vs. Circle, here at Poplar at 1:00 P.M. There will be many new teams on the schedule this year because Poplar has been put into the Eastern B conference. Familiar teams will be Circle, Wolf Point, Fairview and Plentywood. New teams include Baker (homecoming), Broadus, and a game September 14 in Miles City at 4 P.M. vs. Lodge Grass. chamber of commerce $20.00 drawing sept, 1 at labor day picnic last chance to buy mm! ASCSNEWS CERTIFICATION RESULTS NOTED Final certification results in Roosevelt County as of July 1$, 1985 showed 904 producers made acreage reports certifying that they were in compliance and eligible for program benefits. There were 87 producers that didn't participate in the farm programs but reported acreage for history purposes He would like to thank each of you that kept your appointments and did your paper work�it really cuts down on our ���� allowing us some time to answer producers questions, besides eliminating long Mltlng lines. We know same of the appointments we set were inconvenient for you, but we relied on you to reschedule the time, we really do appreciate your efforts- thanks I There were approximately 30 producers that didn't make acreage reports. These producers will be considered as having zero acreage for 1985 Should future programs use 1985 as a base year their program . participation would be affected. Rodney Iverson, County Executive Director said the acreage certification on participating farms means that these farmers are in compliance with the 1985 programs and are eligible to obtain price support loans at $3.25 a bushel for wheat, $1.85 for barley, $1.26 for oats and $2.10 for rye They are also eligible for target prices of $4.38 for wheat, $2.60 for barley, and $1.60 for oats. Jackie Shanks The 1985 Girl's Beskteball season started practice August 19th. Twenty girls are out for this year's squad, with five returning letter winners; Holly Loegeiing, Jamie Henley, Patti Jo O'Brien, Roxane Beauclair, and ��� Buckles. Due to a car accident Farrell Reddog is unable to play, but will be helping out the team as a manager. On September 6th Poplar �111 host Frarer for the first game of the 1985 Girl's Basketball season. Tip off tie* is set for 7:30 P.M. � hope to see you there!
