HIGH SQUADS FINISH SEASON There was a time in the past when girls accepted the port of participating in athletic activities only from the audience. This is no longer true, however, especially in the Poplar Jr Hi. What the Jr. Hi. girls A squad lacked in size they made up in hustle. It was difficult to tell who the team leader was because all of the girls always tried their very best. The A squad finished with a 500 season with all of the girls actively participating in each game. The team began the season by successfully downing Brockton. The next game, a home game, added another, victory against Wolf Point. The last two games of the first go-round came out with favor going to the opposing teams, Richey and Scobey . The last four games of the season were rematches with the above teams. The game with Scobey ended up tc be the most exciting and tense games played all season, with the Indians victorious by only a slim ome point. The next night was again another victory against Wolf Point. The last two games ended up as two losses - one to Richey and the last game to Brockton. However, whatever the team lost in points, they well mode up for in sportsmanship during these two games. Next year, the high school wi acquire some good basketball players and the seventh graders will return to carry on that winning spirit. NOTICE FIREMEN'S MEETING, 6:30 THURSDAY (TODAY) NOV. 6, 1975.
