Mike Anglim Victim of
Tragic Accident on Farm
Tragedy struck Liberty county
and claimed its fourth victim in less
than two months last week when
Mike Anglim was burned to death
in his farm house southeast of Chester. The accident was discovered
by Harvey Seidlitz Friday when he
was coming into Chester for the
Memorial Day services. Seidlitz
noticed that the house was burned
to the ground and that both the
car and truck were nearby. He
immediately decided that Mike
might have been in the building,
and so authorities were notified.
Sheriff-coroner Dodds Keith arrived on the scene and found the
remains. There was no way of
determining exactly how or when
the accident occured, but authori-
ies believe it happened early Monday morning. Funeral services
were held here Wednesday morning in St. Mary's Catholic church
with Rev. Fr. Kohnke of Hinghami
officiating. Burial was in the Chester cemetery. Rosary services were
held Tuesday evening.
Pallbearers were: Ed Ehlers, P.
M. Kuhry, Henry Layton, Selmer
Kolstadj Levi Shettel and John
Rocks.
I Mike Francis Anglim was born
j in Lydnon Station, Wisconsin, May
116, 1885 of the marriage of James
Anglim and Katherine Quinn. He
was the youngest of 10 children.
He came to Liberty county about
1912 and' homesteaded 12 miles
Southeast of Chester.' He lived on
his farm until the time of his
death. The deceased was married
in November of 1914 to Eva Oakley
and to this union, one daughter,
| Ruth was born December 6, 1915.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret Anglim of Chicago, 111., one
brother, Jerry Anglim of Lyndon
Station, Wisconsin; one daughter,
Mrs. Ruth Heikkila of Dillon, Montana and two grandsons, Jerry

accident. He is also survived, by
several nieces and nephews living
in Wisconsin and Illinois.
