Came to Billings in 1885 and worked for Babcock & Miles Hardware. Married Flora Harty in 1885. Opened F.B. Connelly wholesale implement (tractors, etc.) and car (Ford) dealership. Member of the Montana State Senate in 1918. Built a branch of the F.B. Connelly Company in Seattle which was run by his son Kenneth. President of Commercial Club (forerunner Chamber of Commerce) 5 times. Chairman of the Montana Highway Commission. Greene oil painting in the Western Heritage Center collections.
