Born in Keith, Scotland, July 15, 1842. Lived in Uruguay. Wife was Agnes - married about 1869. Children were Janet, James, Christina, William, Edward, Jack. Alexander was a rancher near Huntley in 1877 - may be first in present Yellowstone County. Lawyer, 29th U S Infantry, worked with Gen. Miles, U S Bankruptcy referee for 27 years and served on the Billings City Council. On Sept. 17, 1889, Alexander Fraser of the Billings Grain and Fuel Company was appointed agent for Billings and vicinity for the sale of Rocky Fork Coal. Contractor for Northern Pacific Railroad, Billings Justice of the Peace, and a High Priest of the Masons. Daughter Miss Janet R. Fraser (Nettie) married Arthur C.
