John C. Orrick: Born at Stevens Point, Wisconsin, September 15, 1873, and came to Montana in 1883. Deputy Sheriff of Custer, Montana. Married to Cora Wear (or Weir). Deputy under Billings' Sheriff James Webb - was appointed sheriff after Webb was killed in line of duty in 1908. U.S. Marshall. See History of Montana by Saunders. Died at age 55 in February, 1928 and buried in Mountview Cemetery - See Orrick, Federal Marshall, Dies on Train, Billings Gazette, February 23, 1928 and Final Tribute Is Paid Orrick, Billings Gazette, February 25, 1928. Cora Patterson Orrick ran for County Auditor in 1928. Forest Young: Worked as deputy for Orrick in 1913. Likely Forest H. Young, an early day resident of Yellowstone County, who died in Chicago in March of 1933 at the age of 85. Young's Point, near Park City, MT, was named for his father. See Montana Monographs by O'Donnell. George Douglas: Undersheriff with Orrick from 1909- 1914. Worked in City Health Department. Married to Anna Sample of Fort Benton in 1899. Died December 22, 1922. EH Judd: Worked as deputy under Orrick in 1913. From St. Paul in 1928, was an honorary pallbearer at 1928 funeral of Marshall Orrick.
