Louis was born on February 2, 1870 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Louis and wife Olga came to Billings about 1900 where he opened a barber shop. He was a World War I veteran. Operated Gazette Kircheis Barber, 1920s - See Gazette Barber Shop Gets New Equipment, Billings Gazette, June 20, 1926. Barbershop was in the basement of the old Bank / Gazette building on the corner of Montana Ave and 27th Street. Married Olga Pearson in La Crosse. She died November 1949 in Billings. He died in 1955 - See Local Man Dies in Miles City, Billings Gazette, April 7, 1955. Both are buried at Mountview.
