John & Susanna Rixon came to Billings in April, 1883. He was associated with the Billings Times and the Billings Rustler. The 1883 Residence and Business Directory of Billings Montana lists John as printer with the Billings Post. They had four daughters and three sons: Rebecca Helen Rixon Bates, Anna Rixon Reece, Winifred Rixon Chapple, and Eleanor Rixon Fristchi; a Harold, Fred and Bill (William). Mary & Anna Rixon lived in the same house and are listed as teachers at the Billings Seminary. He died September, 1905 and was buried in Mountview Cemetery
