Men, women, and children seated or standing in front of the white frame Hotel building. The caption reads: 'Edward, Prince of Wales, son of Queen Victoria of England and later to be king, made a tour of western Canada and from there drove down through Montana with a party of six; two teams and light wagon. The party put up at the Silver Star Hotel, as shown in this picture, for three days. This was in the fall of 1878. The prince at that time was a full grown man. He spent a good deal of his time in Mark Delaney.' (Object: 771-000528)
