During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Polson-area citizens staged an old-fashioned showboat program aboard the SS Hodge construction boat. There were singers, dancers, a Dixieland band, various instrumental soloists and small groups, and Interlocutor emcee and end men. The audience was seated informally on the bank of Sacajawea Park next to the Salish Building.
